Recently I have been getting a lot of e-mails asking me what MAC brushes I would recommend for new buyers and someone who is not experienced with trying or perhaps spending the big loot on some of those big ticket brushes from MAC. I never really have the answers because I don't usually spend the money on the brushes when I go to MAC...I always find something else to splurge on. It seemed pretty silly for me to spend close to $50 on one brush, when I could get a similar one at a lower price elsewhere.

MAC released their holiday collection (Magic, Mirth & Mischief) which include sets with a generous amount of brushes or pigments, all together for one decent price. I was extatic over the "Do-the-Trick Buff and Line" Brush Set which consisted of 5 brushes for a total of $49.50 - which is a great brush! You're basically getting each brush for $10 bucks.

The sets also come with a gorgeous pouch so you can store your brushes or bring them along! The bag is extra roomy, so you can fit many more of your items in to tag along with you for the day!

The brushes have shorter handles than the regular MAC brushes, and some say the quality isn't as great, but everyone has their opinions. In my opinion, these are totally worth it. I have been lemming over the #187 Duo Fibre brush, and this set has it! The normal price tag for the #187 brush is $48, so you're getting a great deal on it. I actually prefer the shorter handles as well because they are easier to carry around with you if you choose to, and I just like the easier application.
You can find this set, along with the rest of the amazing sets for sale with the Holiday 2009 Collection at your local MAC store or booth.
xoxo,
MAC does cut us some slack around the Holiday season!
