I've upgraded my SLR from the D3000 to the D90. Since selling my D3000, I've realized how attached I was to my SLR. While camera-less for that week I used my other 4 compact cameras and rekindled a spark for them as well, which is a good thing.
I just got my package in the mail today. I stalked my Amazon.com tracking number until I heard the UPS man knock on the door. The first photo out of the box was incredible.
I upgraded because the D3000 (an entry level DSLR) wasn't as advanced in specs technically as I would prefer a camera to be at this level. The ISO performance was very shaky and didn't give me the results I wanted. The D3000 isn't compatible with all Nikon lenses and it does not receive wireless communication with accessories such as an external flash or a remote. Rather than going just a step up and getting the D5000, I wanted a DX body and opted for the D90.
JJ has been totally into anything Toy Story lately!
Creepy crawly
It was super hot out, and JJ ran around for a while, so he had the cutest bright red cheeks going.
To infinity and BEYOND!!!
Picking a flower for mommy!
Just to show the vivid colors that Nikon's are famous for!
I love my D90!
Update: Jerrid and I are taking off to Vegas on the 24th! I will be posting a "Travel Musts and Busts" post tomorrow!
A few of you have asked me to do a review (in human language not technological photography slang to confuse you and intimidate you), so you can expect that too!
Oh wow! The pictures are crystal clear and SO vibrant! Looking forward to your travel post as I am leaving for S. Fl. next week for a visit...Strangely I miss all the lizards down there lol
I wanted the D90 at first b/c it's freakin amazing, but I'm a newbie =/ you are obviously not, the shots are so effin gorgeous!!! You're right about the ISO performance, maybe G gets a big bonus and I tell him my camera is "missing" :P
Creep crawly, eeek
JJ is beyond adorable, I think it's great you take him out for walks and let him run around! I bet it makes it a bit easier when he's indoors, err, or maybe not, kids have all the energy in the world. My hubs is always saying he'd be the richest man on earth if he knew how to trap children's energy in a bottle to sell, lol. I love the shot of him in the amazon box, :)
Can't wait for the new posts and have a blast in Vegas (Caesar's), last time I went it was 116 degree's the whole week and I laid out in the sun with dark tanning oil for 6 days...I came back to DC the same color as I'd left =/ -- I'm positive you'll tan, everyone does, I just struggle tanning. Oh, and instead of tanning or burning, my skin just itched for like a week, bleh.
I absolutely love your picture posts you should really consider doing a photography blog! And JJ is getting so big. I remember I started following you just before he was born and already he is walking and everything! I need to get on my munchkin to walk haha she is being a little too lazy. Keep it up! I cannot wait to see your post on Vegas
